Productions

An occasional blog post about the playwriting life. Sometimes fun. Sometimes fearful. Sometimes difficult. Writing for the theatre and screen often moves between the extremes of passionately inspired and long slogs through desert. And sometimes it combines both. Playwriting is the only artform that requires it be interpreted through others – actors, directors, designers, cinematographers and a host of other artists.

As such it is more than a conversation between the writer and an audience. It is a conversation between the writer and a bunch of collaborating artists AND then the audience.

So this blog may be something that will help me and readers, other playwrights, who battle and bargain with similar inner demons.
